Terms and conditions
By booking a course you are agreeing to all terms and conditions set out below. Enrolment in any of our courses is regarded as acceptance of these terms and conditions. The Course is not transferable to another person. All of our Course Materials are provided in English as this is the language most of our students work in. We are unable to provide translated material for any course offered.
Confirmation of booking
Confirmation of booking and login details is sent via email. As soon as you receive these you can start the course. A booking confirmation will be received by email provided. If you do not receive the confirmation booking within twenty-four hours please email admin@photographycourseonline.co.uk
Copyright and intellectual property rights
All material on our websites is copyright of Belinda Bean at Photography Course Online and may not be shared or reproduced without our written permission. All rights reserved. When you enrol with Photography Course Online, you promise not to share, sell, publish, translate, copy or otherwise distribute our course materials to any third parties.
Code of conduct
This code of conduct is part of the general terms and conditions that you accept when you enrol.
You may not access or use the Services or create an account for unlawful purposes.
You commit to conduct yourself in a professional manner when using the student forum in any social media associated with Photography Course Online.
You commit to keep your login details safe and not to share, sell or otherwise distribute them to any third parties.
Accounts
When purchasing a course, you must provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address. You have complete responsibility for your account and everything that happens on your account, including for any harm or damage (to us or anyone else) caused by someone using your account without your permission.
Student images
We may use students’ photographs emailed to us or shared on our social media platforms for promotional purposes only. Where possible we will request permission directly from the student prior to doing this. Any copyright remains with the student at all times. Any images supplied by the student must be their own. Any images sent by students that are found not to be created by the student will be removed from our site and social media. The student in question will be removed from all courses and no refund given.
Course content
Photography Course Online warrants that the material provided is of satisfactory quality but does not warrant that the material will be error-free. We reserve the right to make changes to any course that we deem necessary.
Course duration
All of the courses are designed to work around your timetable. You can pause at any point. Because of your individual login, the course stays at your last point; you are in complete control of your learning. All of the courses are very detailed and we offer a year to complete each course. Should you require longer to complete a course please email admin@photographycourseonline.co.uk before the end of that year. After one year if an account has been deleted we would be unable to reinstall it.
Certificate of completion
Once a student has completed a course satisfactorily, you will be able to receive a downloadable certificate. This is a certificate of completion and not an accredited qualification. By enrolling you agree that the courses are not claiming to be an educational certificate and should not be treated as such. The name on the certificate will be the same as the name given at the time enrolled.
Waiver of liability
Photography Course Online will not be held responsible for any loss, damage to any personal items, equipment failure or any other situation reasonably beyond our control. We will not be held responsible for any personal injury or accident. Students enter into any activities at their own risk. Photography Course Online shall take no responsibility or liability for personal or property damage during a course.
Any advice provided are guidelines only, Photography Course Online will not be held responsible for any action taken.
Maintenance or upgrading may be carried out on the site occasionally. We will not take responsibility for any loss or additional expense caused by this should it arise.
Complaints
Photography Course Online treats all complaints seriously. Should you have a perceived complaint please notify us by email at admin@photographycourseonline.co.uk and we will endeavour to arrive at a satisfactory solution.
Payment and pricing
You agree to pay the fees for courses that you purchase, and you authorize us to charge your debit or credit card or process other means of payment for those fees.
When you make a purchase, you agree not to use an invalid or unauthorised payment method. If your payment method fails and you still get access to the course you are enrolling in, you agree to pay us the corresponding fees within thirty (30) days of notification from us. We reserve the right to disable access to any course for which we have not received adequate payment.
Where appropriate, all taxes are included in the prices displayed. We reserve the right to change prices at any time.
The course fee does not cover any materials or equipment you may need or purchase for the course.
Technical skills of the student
As a student, you must have basic computer ability to navigate through our interface. You must make sure that your computer uses an up to date browser and Adobe Flash in order to view content. Photography Course Online is unable to offer IT support on matters unrelated to the course content or platform.
IT support
Photography Course Online does not offer technical support unless directly related to issues with the course platform. We only offer advice within the course remit and related to the course platform. Any IT or software technical issues should be raised with the manufacturer or an IT technician.
Equality & Diversity
We have a strict Equality & Diversity Policy for enrolment and never discriminate against students on the basis of gender, ethnic origin, race, religion, age, disability or sexual preference.
Bullying or harassment is not permitted and such behaviour will result in suspension from Photography Course Online.
Students must respect equality and diversity when interacting with fellow learners in the group.
Photography Course Online may not be suitable for some people with visual or auditory impairment due to the nature of the course materials, such as videos and written handouts.
Cancellation Policy
Your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 in the UK means that you waive your cancellation right once you have accessed any of your digital content on Photography Course Online courses. However, should the course not be what you were expecting, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee providing you have not completed more than 15% of your course.
Email is accepted as a formal written request for cancellation.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable. All gift vouchers expire one year after purchase.
We reserve the right to withdraw this support should a student misuse it in any way. This includes inappropriate or sensitive topic questions and abusive or aggressive language. All emails are to be considered private (between the Photography Course Online tutor and student) and should not be posted, forwarded or displayed anywhere under GDPR laws.
Mailing list
When enrolling on any of our courses you agree to be part of our mailing list. Our mailing list is solely used for our sites (photographycourseonline.co.uk and pembrokeshirestudio.co.uk) this is not passed on to any other platform. However, if you do not wish to be part of that list please email admin@photographycourseonline.co.uk
